decklid light removal

going to swap to my duck today and i have a question. the engine compartment light that attaches to the lid - how do you remove the wires? i can't see any screws holding the plate on that covers the connections but i need to remove them to get the lines out of the old decklid. is there some trick that i am missing?

actually it was quite easy to remove, i just had to pop the other side (top light side) off and the connections were exposed. didn't matter much though because the duck lid does not have the mounting bar for it.
