If you mean cut-off switch I am using Rennline w/ there battery mount kit. Great piece.

There are some fairly inexpensive ones on amazon and they have a removable "screw type" connection method that is sort of like a key.

Its just something else a thief would have to work around if you were to remove it and hide it in the glove box or take it with you.

I've had this one for six months---no problems so far, but I do recommend not over tightening as it could lead to breakage.

I installed this battery switch on my negative battery post. It's not the greatest, I find you have to unscrew the knob all the way to be sure you have no contact. I only use it when I'm working on the electrical system on the car. I installed on the negative post of the battery since it's the most accessible post of the battery.

I bought it the switch at the local parts house and paid $15.00 for it.

I think the question that needs to be asked is why you want to install one?

If it is for racing, or to kill the power in case of fire, the answer depends on your car model, but you typically need one with multiple terminals to kill the ignition, with a remote pull cable.

If it is for theft prevention, again, it depends on the model, but you may just want a simple toggle switch, hidden, to kill the ignition.

If it to prevent battery draw when the car is sitting for long periods, you can use one of the simple cut-offs above, but you need to disconnect the small fuse that prevents the radio from losing settings. But a better solution for long-term storage would be to remove the battery, or use a battery maintainer type charger.
