Question Question about properly connection alternator air deflector

-84 3.2 carrera
I was wondering do you tighten down the air deflector to the back of the alternator directly ,washer and nut up against the fiberglass.Seems to me even at recommended torque pressure if the fiberglass ever cracked the front and rear cover of the alternator might become loose as don't these 3 of 6 bolts contribute to keeping the alternator front and back covers together. It may seem like a silly question but I'm kind of concerned about it.Thanks and regards, Peter.

There are three nuts holding the alternator air guide to the alternator and fan housing. There are three nuts left that hold the alternator to the fan housing, that's it.

Years ago the 6 held the extension and it was critical torque to keep the alignment of the housing to the fan. You could install the alternator on to the housing and the fan would hit so doing the 3 and 3 is the answer for alignment.
I use nylock on the fiberglass extension and just snug it tight.
