Red face Will 9 and 10 fikse's fit my 82 911sc?

Ok,im looking to get some fikse fm10's from a guy.The question is will they fit my 82 911sc?the sizes are 9.2" with 245/40R17 tires and the rears are 10.3" with 275/40R17 tires. The bolt pattern fits.I know they're kind of big ,but I really like these wheels. Is there any way to make them fit?thanks

I don't mean to dissapoint you but looking at the car in your "garage" they won't fit. Those are some wide wheels! You'd need Turbo fenders front and rear I guess. You need to know the ET of those fikse's too to determine fitment if you decide to go wide body. I've heard of 10" wheels on the rear but most require work. I think around 8" is about the maximum for the front with standard fenders though.

I seriously doubt they would fit. I've got 245s and 275s on my car, but on 8 and 9 inch wheels. The 9s and 10s would be too much, I'm afraid.

On my car, 8's with 245's barely fit in the front, no way 9's would fit. 9.5 can be made to fit in the rear but it requires the perfect offset and you almost always need to move the oil lines in the right rear and grind down the alignment bolts. 10's- no way.

One option for you depending on the offset of the wheels. Put the 9's on the rear, send the 10's to Daryle at Fikse and have new outer rim shells put on to make them 8's for the front. But the price you're paying has to be cheap enough to justify 300-400 to remake each wheel.

I installed some Fikse FM10's on my car and they're 7.5 and 9 inches wide.Using Dunlop 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 and there is room for wider tires in the front and rear, although the limiting factor is the rim size.
I doubt the 10 inch rims would fit on the rear without grinding the spring plate bolts and relocating the oil lines on a narrow bodied car.

Those are beautiful wheels and Ed has a good solution as to have them modified to fit your application !

Cheers!

Here is my 1980sc with 7.5 and 9's (tires 225/45/17 and 255/40/17). It is a pretty tight fit.

I have 8's and 10's on my 80SC, tires are 225/45/17 and 275/40/17 the lips had to be rolled the rear oil line had to be re-routed. I don't think the 245 will fit up front, the 275 will in back with mods, but a 10.3 rim might be too wide, my 10's fit but they are tight. I also have 1.5 and 2.0 neg. camber.
Pic from last track day, with my two boys.

if you can buy them cheap enough, you could have them cut down to no more than 7.5 inches wide in front and 9 inches in rear. I have fikse MAGS 17 x 8 in front and the biggest tire without rub or fender interference is 215 45 17 in Nitto NT01. 225 45 17 on 8 inch cut/ruined tire and bent fender lip. A much faster setup, but with less bling is 15x9 and 15x7 ---- you will nearly fly with 225 45 15 Hoosier R6 front and 275 35 15 Hoosier R6 rear. No need for such high weight, large diameter 17" and 18" diameter wheels on a low-medium horsepower sportscar.

not to sound penisy, are the measurements taken in the correct spot? inside the outer lips? 9.2 and 10.3?

I have these stuffed under the wheelwells, cant go none bigger.
8's up front with 245's , rolled fenders
9.5 in the rear with 275's, oil lines moved, springplate bolt shaved, inner fenderwell massaged with a BFH.

it would appear to me that the wheels in question are actually 8.5 and 9.5 wide.....

That's a tight squeeze. Looks good though....
