[QUOTE=Quicksilver;5290170]Uhhh, could we have this thread moved to the Off Topic Forum?

1 to tell the poster that he posted his thread in the wrong place. ;)

Which he even did, this time.

And one to actually have a stab at the original question......

I make it 282 Pelicans to change a lightbulb......

And counting. :D

Mike.

nesslar 04-12-2010 10:55 AM

Actually, they are "lamps"....or not...but that's a whole 'nuther topic...oops, a hijack! :( Rats, just noticed that this has been mentioned already!! Flames on the way!

SPJ-911 04-13-2010 04:03 PM

Show me your best light bulb... err, lamp photo.

LuftWaffle 04-13-2010 04:11 PM

Never buy a new light-bulb (lamp, whatever) without getting a PPI!

nesslar 04-13-2010 04:32 PM

Best bulb photo (not a lamp), light fixture in Mazatlan....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1271205057.jpg

JFairman 04-13-2010 06:22 PM

lol...
in the context of this thread.... that picture,, and your words are priceless ! ! !

Drisump 04-14-2010 05:45 AM

Is that light bulb from Stuttgart or Wolfsburg? You can look for the bulb number under the little tab, and if it contains a PFFT it's neither...................

911st 04-14-2010 07:01 AM

Last set of H4's I bought were tough to install, are they made in China now?

:p

jimbauman 04-14-2010 07:01 AM

You'd better get one of those bulbs while you can, because pretty soon the Germans will figure out that the ones in Germany are all burning out, so the prices here will start to escalate out of control as these old working bulbs get shipped back to the Vaterland!

gtc 04-14-2010 09:11 AM

some more:
3 to question the weight savings of the new light bulb
5 to claim that the new bulbs are dangerous because the bases are not forged
2 to freak out becuase the bulbs aren't made in Germany
2 to freak out because the bulbs aren't made in the USA
1 to post photos of politician X whom they dislike, then claim that said polititian eats babies and wants to take your light bulbs away, after which the thread is locked by a moderator

charlesbahn 04-14-2010 09:18 AM

Does the light bulb need to be rebuilt?

dw1 04-14-2010 09:32 AM

The original post was one of the most amusing postings in quite some time - thanks Harry.

There was, however, two important items which should be added:

1 troll to post photos of "their" custom 912/911 with extra "bling" lights, and all the lightbulbs in a vile color
47 to post messages satirizing and/or flaming the troll

burgermeister 04-15-2010 01:00 PM

So it takes 180 Pelicans! (you forgot to add the numbers up)

:)

naparsei 04-15-2010 01:44 PM

Can somebody get Grady to write a Tech Article on changing light bulbs? That might help solve this problem.
