72 oil filter housing leaking

I have a small leak on what seems to be the back side of the oil filter housing located on the right hand side of the engine compartment. Is there a cover that comes off back there (can't see it) if so is there a gasket or something that can be installed to stop this leaking?
Thanks

Yup, there is a cover on it. Or, if the car has a front cooler, there is a thermostat in it. Both use the same O-ring as the thermostat on the motor (as a matter of fact, the two thermostats are identical). They go on the same way, too, with two 10mm nuts holding either one on.

Thanks Jeff,
No front cooler on the bastard. So what you are saying is that it's an O-ring that needs to be replaced, if so should I buy the one for the thermostat?
Thanks again

I just did this, and it's the easiest job I've ever done on the car:

One more oil leak solved! (I think...)

Awesome, so it looks like number 14 on the diagram, can this be done without taking the housing off, with mirrors, etc??
Thanks

Yes and no Yes, it can be done without removing the housing, and no, you don't need mirrors. It's a piece of cake - 2 10mm nuts that are easy to access, grand total 30 seconds. Then the only tricky part is prying off the piece. You have to be careful because it's aluminum - get the smallest flathead screwdriver you have. I tried using a razor blade, but snapped it, as it wasn't strong enough. Once it's loose, you just pull it out, cut the old o-ring off, clean it up with some brake cleaner, roll the new one on and reinstall. Grand total is less than 10 minutes.

Oh, and yes, it's # 14, part # 99970105350, superseded to 99970731440.
