rear deck lid

Installed new interior rear deck panel and the part closest to the glass at the back wants to push into the glass. How do you avoid this? It almost seems like it needs to be glued down or something

Detach the lid strut/s and remove latch pin and align lid as needed the reassemble the pin and strut.

Another trick would be is to remove grill and loosen condensor so you can reach in and tighten the nuts. It will allow you to align exactly where you want it.

I'm sorry -i didn't make myself clear -I'm talking about the upholstered interior deck lid that has the rear speakers in it.

Can you post a pic of you issue? Sometimes aftermarket speakers will interfere with the seating of the deck cover.

thanks I figured it out. The underlayment was warped and swelled up towards the glass and it was already crtacked so I pulled off a 4" strip. The deck panel sits a lot better. I put some dynamat strip to fill the void before I reinstalled deck panel
