Pertronix for 1972 911 with 0231-169-011 RS Distributor

I have installed my newly rebuilt engine into my 1972 911T. The engine is the original engine, but has 2.4 Mahle 911S pistons and cylinders, freshly rebuilt 911S spec heads, new 911E cams, rebuilt rockers, a freshly rebuilt 911E MFI pump, freshly rebuilt 911S stacks and throttle bodies, and a freshly rebuilt 911 RS distributor (0231-169-011). I have not started it yet (since rebuild). I am thinking that I should put a Pertronix ignition in instead of the points, but I don't know which one is the right on for my application. I mean, the Pelican Parts catalog does not show which Pertronix Ignitor is right for the 011 distributor. I also wonder if the Ignitor II would be better, and if so, the same question applies. Can anyone help me out with this information, please? Thanks in advance!

Can't help with your question, but if you don't mind my asking, what kind of time/$$ did you put into this rebuild? What kind of hp are you expecting to get from it? It's pretty much exactly what I'm looking to do with my 2.4, which is out and ready for a rebuild, and I'd like to know what I'm getting myself into

Thanks.

Call Pertronix they're located in San Dimas, Calif. About 35 miles east of Los Angeles. There is a special way to install the Pertronix on early cars and often times, the instructions aren't clear. Their Tech guys will help you:
