Help with shifter bushing project.

Greetings,

I am in the process of replacing my shifter bushings.

This are going OK, but I have one snag.

In the picture below, I am having difficulty removing piece number 24 from the end of part 25. I did successfully remove the screw 26.

Any trick to removing that piece?

Thanks,

Hank

need to remove it to replace 22, 23, the nylon bushings, it should come off after backing out the bolt, might be tight from age, a few taps on a wrench (like the procedure to remove the shift knob) should do it.

I just did it and used a rubber mallet to get it off.

Thanks for the tips. I will be back at the shop tonight and see if it will free up.

Thanks, Hank
