Stupid Porsche Owner Tricks
I nominate myself for the ablsoute stupidest, most inane trick while restoring my Porsche.
Since the birth of my son 8 months ago I've been too busy to get dirty in the garage so my Porsche energy went towards restoring the contents of my glove box. (You know getting all the original documents that came when the car was new, I'll post a complete list when I'm done) One of the items was the Customer ID card. The warranty card that comes with the card. Below you will see and example of how they did it in 1983. A pre printed plastic card with the owner's name imprinted in it. ![]() Here you will see how they did it circa 2000. All the information printed directly on the card. ![]() I purchased some equipment on Ebay to directly print onto blank credit card sized PVC cards . . . check out my attempt at reproducing the 2000 Customer ID Card ![]() Here are the reverse of the cards, the original is on the top. You can see some differences in the MEMBERSHIP CARD font and the text isn't quite exact yet but check it out. . . ![]() Now that I have the hardware and the basic Adobe skills I'm ready to attempt making a card for my 1975S. Does anyone have an example of a mid year Customer ID card? (I suspect it is much like the '83) I have seen a photograph of one from a '74S but the resolution of the photo was poor. Thanks
