It could use some ceramic coating I'll admit, but it sounds pretty sweet. I'd say it sounds like a deep tone at 9-1100 rpm and from there it starts growling till about 4000 rpm then it wails a bit. Guy down the street with a 3.6 swap into his sc loves the sound of mine. his has a magnaflow I thinkl.

I had one on my 2.2 and it was so damn loud that I swapped back to stock as soon as I found a decent deal on the classifieds. If you want my old one, it is for sale. PM with your email and I'll send pics to you. And yeah, Quattorunner has it right, at high rpms it WHAAAAILED. I actually did get some compliments from other p-car owners on it. But no sound clips to share, sorry.

What a bunch of bunk

Here's my lowly 2.7 with a bursch muffler (one of the few aftermarket companies that tune their mufflers on a dyno)

YouTube - ‪Iphone_s 045.MOV‬‏

I'm selling it too - but only because it won't fit on my new to me 3.6

I never made a statement about sound or quality, except their paint, which literally flaked off the first time I ran my new (at the time) muffler. Took it off, blasted it, painted with heat paint & ran it 'til I went to headers.

I repainted mine too - but usually got compliments on how it sounded.

Not sure why Bursch got a bad rep - if you look at the stainless OBX stuff on ebay - you'll see that they copied their design.

What gets me is some of these exhaust companies that claim HP increases (yep even the stainless high dollar ones)- but good luck getting any real dyno results - yet bursh actually developed theirs on a dyno -

Sorry - just a little cranky today.

Ok i may feel a little better about this. So is there any welding to be done or special fitting or does it bolt right up to my 2.7?

Bolted right up on my 2.7. As that was 25 years ago YMMV. Personally I love the sounds it makes with the 2.7.
