Emergency Brake work needed in Bangor

I'm traveling up route 95 and had to stop in bangor because I've got terrible scraping and broken metal in rear wheel. Somthing in brakes I believe. Where can I bring my car to get repairs to Brembo brakes on my 911 turbo.

Will be trying to get them looked at first thing in morning. Today is April 26.

Any suggestions !!

Try to pull up on the e-brake handle while drivung forward slowly, not hard, just till you here all the pads hit the drums. This should re align them and stop the schreeching. Happens sometimes.

Mine was doing this the other day. I pulled a wheel and found the upper e=brake shoe was disintegrating. Bought new shoes replace them myself in an hour or less. The parts place I got them from told me there are two sizes: the standard thickness and a slightly thinner set that's easier to install/adjust. I bought the thinner ones and with the adjuster back almost all the way off, I only get about 4 clicks before the rears are solidly locked which is fine by me

brakes

You are in a desert as far as p-car services go-you can try Crawfords vw service. They might be able to help, and they are in the Bangor area. The nearest p-car mechanic is in Brooklin, way down on the coast, and getting parts in a hurry is a problem. The phone for Shawn Mckay in Brooklyn is 207-266-1801. I think that he is a really good mechanic. Good luck.

Hello All,

All hell broke loose in emergency brake. A few parts rattling around in drum. Had to get transported to shop.

Was lucky to find Porsche mechanic at Darlings ford/VW/Audi in Bangor who got me on road within a couple hours. Great shop very helpful !
