Job description - logic relays 911.617.118.00 ?
Hello all,
I started hearing an annoying buzz from the dashboard, despite the doors being closed and the seat belt fastened. After a minor investigation, it turned out that this relay is causing the noise. Being a hot-blooded Italian I first took it out, and then Googled. I understand this to be the US version of a logic relay that warns regarding seat belts and open doors. Franky, this I can live without, until I find a new one. Question is if it does anything else (i.e. oil level warning or any other warning) that I should not be driving without? Thanks,

On my car, 1974, the starter will not engage with this relay removed.
You can put a jumper in the relay socket with the relay removed to enable the starter. The diagrams show only the items you have mentioned + Emergency brake. Many people run without this relay. If your car doesn't start without it, see below (step 2) for jumper info. Glen Pettigrew ![]()

Many thanks.
The car starts, I believe this has been bypassed somehow before I got the car.

You don't mention the year of your car. US-spec 1974 cars of all makes were delivered with a start-permissive interlock.....the car would not start unless you were buckled-in. Often ran a parallel circuit to the seatbelt buzzer. I'm sure all by now have been deactivated....and this interlock wasn't done for Euro or ROW cars anyway.
