Looking for a trustworthy P-parts supplier

I need a few engine parts to finish up my 930 swap.
So far no luck finding the items from fellow PelicanHeads, so I (very reluctantly) need to go to used parts suppliers.

Please post names of places you trust. Don't list PartWerks of Chicago, they're the dirtbags that got me in this mess to begin with.

Parts Needed:
- engine mount that bolts up to motor and to the large motor mount bar under the engine's fan.
- motor tin located in the same area.
(Both items for '78/9 930, can modify SC units)
- early non intercooled turbo plumbing, need both pipes that go from the turbo to the CIS throttle plate and air meter plate.

Probably wrong end of country but UPS shipping is relatively cheap: Parts Heaven in Hayward, CA (partsheaven.com) and 20th Street in Phoenix, AZ (20thstreetauto.com) have done well by me. Bought everything from case halves, oil pump, a single connecting rod (Parts Heaven) to A/C parts, external oil cooler thermostat bracket and NLA '73 fuel pump wiring harness extension (20th Street). When parts were not up to my standards (or Ted Robinson's) or were damaged in shipment they replaced them or sent better examples without additional charges. Cheers, Jim

I second PartsHeaven in Hayward, Ca. They have everything and ship anywhere. Don't know how their prices compare but they don't sell any junk.

I have tried all of the companies listed above, am wild about none. Your bad experience in Chicago mirrors mine. I have found www.pap-parts.com to be totally reliable, with a huge selection, near Atlanta.

Gotta echo PAP, very honest and will usually work with you on price if you are getting lots of stuff. Will also tell you if what they have isn't as nice as youre looking for vice selling you junk

I have bought a few things from Carquip (http://www.carquip.com) and they are on the up-and-up IMHO. Prices aren't rock bottom but quality was very good and they are a "no fuss supplier" in my limited experiences.

I would NOT recommend PAP parts. Without going into details, I took an hour drive to their location - for a first time purchase. After looking at the merchandise, in person, I left very disappointed.

If they are a last resort, and you know what to expect from them, fine. Otherwise, I'd find another source. Hendrick's Porsche (Charlotte,NC) offers 20-30% off list for anything - have ordered from them several times to get things Pelican doesn't carry.
