Please help me identify this piece!

I think this shim-a-majig goes in the door somewhere but I can't figure out where? Does anyone have their door panel off that can tell me where it goes?

thanks in advance,

-Norm

If I recall correctly, the piece with the tab bolts to an 'L' bracket and the tab goes into the lower part of the forward window channel. It's purpose is to hold the frame in place on the 'L' bracket (which should have an elongated hole) so you can adjust the inboard/outboard alignment of the frame to the door opening. I don't remember if there's one on the rear frame or not.

No idea what the other piece is. Hope this helps.

Edit: The other piece with the 2 holes goes between the 2 screws at the top rear of the door. If you open your door, the 2 screws are right at the top, one below the other, above the latch.

Those look real familiar. But it has been a while since I had the door apart. I have a hunch about the part with two holes in it but I'll do some digging before posting my WAG.

Look no further Rich has it correct.

Rich is correct. The "L" bracket actually attaches to the door itself and the parts above along with allen head bolts attach the L bracket to the window frame.
The L bracket bolts to the door frame just behind the speaker hole - in fact, you have to reach in through the speaker hole to do all this.

Does anyone have a picture of how the L bracket attaches to the part in the picture?

no photo handy, but do you have a PET (parts) katalog? There's a view in there.
