Clark's Christmas Sleighs

Christmas eve is the perfect excuse to trot out and compare my green and red machines. Okay it isn't exactly a Christmas green, but close enough.

Beautiful weather in sunny San Jose today. Good time to take them both for a spin.

I keep thinking nobody in their right mind needs two 911s, even me. But which one to sell?

Sparky is the obvious keeper. Wind out the 3.2 with the top down and I am sold. Then every trip in the Sweet Pea leaves me marveling at the lightweight feel and responsiveness.

I guess they run shoulder to shoulder, each one kicks butt in its own way. I guess I'll just have to keep them both.

Now if I can only find that '72 coupe to keep them company. Maybe it should be black and orange for halloween.

Chuck,

I've got a 76 and I keep saying to myself that the next car I buy will either be a 3.2 Cab or a 964 C2, whilst keeping the 76. You're there already!

I've got the company car (2001 WRX) at home over Xmas and when I parked it nose to nose with the 911, I could swear they were spitting at each other!

Great pictures! Merry Christmas!

Chuck,

If anybody should have two 911s, it's you. With all the ingenuity and motivation you possess for making little improvements on them, you give the rest of us ideas and the ability to follow in your footsteps. Keep up the great work.

Sweet Pea's color looked REALLY familiar and appealing to me. Then it hit me. It's the color of the tile, tub, sink, etc. in my bathroom circa 1970. That is a riot! Oh, by the way, it's the color of the toilet as well. Sorry, but it's true.

Hood looks kinda high on Sparky. Crank down on those rubber stoppers or lower your latch my man!

Have to say i'm a bit jealous of your weather conditions. Here in the lovely Midwest, it's in the twenties and white. The Red Baron has been parked on jack stands for over a month.
