Alternator update

I purchased a "new" late model alternator with the self contained regulator. My car has been idle for several years, but I'm now getting ready to paint it and redo the interior. I also want to install this alternator.

I think I can figure out how to wire it up, but if someone knows for sure how to do this, some instructions would be appreciated. 1974 Carrera running the original 2.7 with webers, cam and piston/jug changes.

Do a search on this board using alternator as keyword. You will also likely need a new hub extension or alternatively will need to modify your old one; the hub extension is the air flow directing nozzle and fins mounted on the back of the alternator. In addition, you'll also likely need to add the resistor across the alternator light in the front gage. Cheers, Jim
