CIS Pressure checks
Thanks for all the assistance - what a great bulletin board! Per previous threads, I have ordered and recieved the J.C. Whitney pressure gage set, and connected per the factory manual.
I have already converted the WUR and need to adjust it, but have a question. When one makes the pressure checks, are these made with the motor running, or at rest. I have purged the system by lifting the plate, but see some variable pressures between measuring with the car running and at with the motor off. Any advice? |

If the car is running, the WUR will be affected by vacuum, and also power will be applied to the WUR which will cause it to warm up and increase control pressure.
The tests that I've read call for jumpering across the fuel pump relay to cause it to run, and with the electrical connection to the WUR disconnected. I can get you more details when I have access to my Bosch FI book.
