Tire Questions

I need to get new front tires on my 89 911. The size That I have know is, 205/55/16, I have 7''X16'' Fuchs in the front. My question is can I get a wider tire set up maybe a 215/55/16 or will I rub?

Bump

I have run 225x40x16" (83sc>RS Clone) before and currently for autocross on some aftermarket fuchs without issue. I have tried them with a 1" space and had issue during hard cornering or bumps with them. The tire rubs along the top lettering area. Have you rolled the inside lip of the front and or back? I would talk to a quality tire shop or call Tire Rack to have them give you some input. What you do up front changes the look, ride, balance, and handling of the car.
