Question Porsche Factory Part Number Question

Howdy!

I'm thinking real hard about installing a late model ('84 and later) valance on my '78SC, as I like the updated look of the integrated fogs. Unfortunately, I've found that the windshield washer bottle also has to be changed, as the '84 and later cars had a special indentation in the water bottle to accommodate the integrated fog light bracket.

There's a water bottle on eBay with the following Porsche part number:

911.628.075.02

I understand that this part has been superceded by the 911.628.075.07, but can anyone tell me what year the .02 part number applied to? If it's '84 or later, I'm golden!

Thanks!

The current washer tank part number for the Carrera is
911 628 075 08

You can convert the older one by cutting and gluing.

The "02" superceded by the "07" are for '80-83 SC's. You'd have to do surgery to get that one to work. As stated earlier "08" is the part you need.
