New Member - Introduction & Car Photos
Hi Guys -
I've posted a few times, but figured I should introduce myself to the group officially. I've had my Porsche (76 Targa) for 26 years, I bought it when I graduated from college. Back in 'the day' I was into VWs big time, and restored a few and built several engines. With the 911, I change the oil and have done minor work myself but have always taken it to the shop for work & maintenance. Over the last 10 years or so, I've put very few miles on the car, as I've been busy doing Dad stuff, but I've kept it maintained and driven fairly regularly Lots of great info here. I repaired the odometer gear with help from a thread here, and look forward to doing more work on the car with the help of the good folks here. I found this forum a few months ago, and it's gotten me motivated to start working on it myself. It's just a VW engine w/ 2 extra cylinders, right ![]() Anyway, here a few photos of my car. It's all stock, the color is Copaflorio Blue (I've also seen it referred to as Polar Blue). I'm the second owner, I bought it when I lived in San Diego. I'm in Cincinnati now. ![]() ![]()

There must not be many Porsches painted that color or I haven't been paying attention. It makes owning a Porsche that much more special when the color is rare. Outstanding look!
