Vapor lock?
After running hard for 2-2.5 hours, my 3.0 is hard to start unless I pump the accelerator several times after sitting an hour or more. I have no problem starting back up after shorter periods of time. I'm starting to think it maybe a vapor lock somewhere. Anyone have a suggestion?

My 1979 3.0 was doing the exact same thing. After doing some searching on this forum I discovered the fuel accumulator tends to be the problem. I ordered one from Pelican and put it in this afternoon. Unfortunately, it was a very cool day here so after a long run, I was not sure if the car restarted when it normally wouldn't due to the weather, or due to the fact the part worked.... I am hoping it was the part. If so, it was an easy $104 fix... It's supposed to be warmer tomorrow, and I plan on taking a nice drive, so we shall see.

Mine was a bad fuel pump check valve and fuel pump relay

Thanks, I changed relay and PO had given me an additional fuel pump which I installed. Problem disappeared but I can't tell which one fixed the problem.
