Off Topic; I'll be in Denver Next Week
I posted in off topic, and then it was suggested that some of you don't go to Off Topic
Jeremy (Gogar) and a few others are getting together on Monday night for drinks and dinner somewhere near the Convention Center. If anyone cares to join us let me know.

I’ll second the Buckhorn Exchange.
It has Colorado Liquor License #1. Upstairs used to be the brothel. I started going there in the late ‘50s when ol’ Mr. Zeitz glowered over the bar, Count me in. (I need a ride from SE Denver - Yale & Holly.) Best, Grady

Sounds good to me. On the other thread, Gogar suggested the Tavern Uptown. Any thoughts.

Hugh and I had a nice 2.4 hr supper at Poppies on S. Colorado Blvd.
![]() Where to eat on Monday? While the Buckhorn is great, it is a bit pricy for a Gathering of the Pelican Flock. Best, Grady

Grady, I had a great time, and appreciate all the tips on my car, especially the ideas on my A/C. I'm OK with anywhere for Monday, and I can come and pick you up if needed. And thanks for dinner!

Well the Breckenridge Brewery or Brewery Bar 2 (Grady has held court there before for visiting Pelicans) on Kalamath are good places to consider. I might be able to make it depending on the time window.

I'm good for anywhere -- one of the downtown/LODO locations is probably best given that Hugh is at the Hyatt. Rock Bottom, Breckenridge, Fado by the ballpark.
The Rockies don't play on Monday, so things should be pretty quiet.

I thought about Buckhorn Exchange, but it's pretty novel.
Now, Poppies . . . . That's halfway from my house to Grady's, great ribs!!!! No scenery. Honestly I wonder if we should try something closer to downtown, like Rock Bottom as mentioned, or Tavern, like I said. I'm happy to drive Grady or if Zotman goes he's also convenient in that respect.

I work in Lakewood so taking Lord Grady to the rendezvous would be problematic for me but taking him home, I will be first in line for the honor. You all decide where we will be and I will be there.

Love to meet some Pelicans in person - decision on a location yet? I don't know Denver very well, really (coming from Colorado Springs).

Gogar and I want to make a pitch for the Buckhorn with Colorado Alcohol License #1, how can you not. Besides, I've never been there and I've been told it is Denver .

OK. Buckhorn Exchange it is. What time tomorrow? Like I said earlier, I can take Grady home but not going to the rendezvous. I will be there provided it will be reasonable start time frame. 5- 6 PM yes please.

Okay, I'm going to try to take the reigns on this:
Tomorrow's the day!!!! Lots of folks chipped in with ideas and the resulting winner is the BUCKHORN EXCHANGE, at 1000 Osage Street. 1000 Osage Street is west of Santa Fe/Kalamath on 10th Avenue, bumped up against 25. You could come off of I-25 on the 6th, 8th or Colfax exits and proceed to 10th Avenue and Osage. BUCKHORN EXCHANGE is uniquely Colorado and should be fun and memorable.!!! If you think you would like to go, please reply on one of the threads (theres on in 911 tech forum and one in PPOT). Thanks!!!

Look like about a dozen might show up. Jeremy says he'll make a reservation for 6PM. I might be bringing a friend from the conference that I'm attending.
