Source for Control Arm Mounting Bolts

OK, I've gone and cut off the heads of these bolts in order to remove them without dropping the motor and trans, but both the original, 900.082.055.02 and the superceded part, 90008206408, are no longer available thru our host or from Porsche. This is an M14 x 1,5 x 77 DIN 960 - 10.9 (length of 75 or 80 is ok) After much online searching, I have found a source, but at $18.63 for a box of 5 plus shipping, I'd like to throw it out there for another source. I know about the 2 piece solution, but I'd rather go with the original spec bolt. Thanks!

If you can find them, buy them. I checked McMaster, all they offer is a DIN 931 in 10,9 property-class. Problem with that is that you need DIN 960- the difference in spec is the difference in the threaded length-- and you do NOT want the threaded portion of the screw being inboard of the control arm mount.

Look at it this way-- there are about ten critical fasteners in a 911 that you absolutely don't want to substitute. . . these are two of them.

Thanks, John, for nudging me in the right direction. Bolts ordered. Out of consideration for our host, I won't post the link to the source, but if anyone wants it or the three bolts I won't be using, pm me for details.

Just a little update info for the archives - the bolts arrived and they are black like the originals, and have "JH 10.9" on the head, but I made the mistake of ordering them based on the description in my 72-72 parts manual which shows them as 14 x 1,5 x 77. They are far too short, I should have measured the actual bolts I cut! I now realize I need to consult the 70 - 73 PDF Katalog whenever checking part numbers, as my '72 is a fairly early build (12/71) and still has a somewhat confusing mix of '71 and '72 parts. Apparently there was a switch to the mounting bracket and a shorter bolt was used sometime after my car was built. In the PDF Katalog the correct bolt for -71 models is 14 x 1,5 x 85. My source only carries a 90mm bolt. I hope it will insert into the bracket without interference against the torsion tube, we'll see when they get here.

A further update, my source no longer carries the 90mm bolts, so I ended up buying 2 used but very clean 85mm bolts from one of the dismantlers in the LA area. Should have simply done this in the first place as they were less expensive and arrived very quickly. Hope this helps.
