Best Pagid brake pads source?
I am looking for some Pagid Yellow and/or Black #1203.
What the best (meaning CHEAPER) source for those? ...or does anyone have some for sale? Thanks

I know you said you want Pagid and they are excellent pads.
Just wanted to mention these guys because brakes are what they do and they have the best prices on Hawk pads, brake fluid, etc... that i've found and free shipping when you buy pads for all 4 corners. Discount Performance Brakes - Brake Pads & Brake Rotors- RACEShopper.com I think Hawk pads are probably just as good as Pagid and they cost a little less but thats just an opinion. |

Call the guy at Raceshopper, he'll know.
There is also a description of each compound/color on the website. Others here that have tried them will hopefully give their opinions too. |

What's the current thought on Pagid vs Hawk?
I know a lot of people like Hawk blues, but I'm still liking my Pagid oranges (once they wear out, I'm moving over to Pagid yellows) A buddy and I both run 930 brakes with floating rotors on the front and my Pagid oranges have been far kinder to the rotors - his Hawk blues wore out a set of front rotors halfway through the season - I've got 2+ seasons on mine with almost no wear on the rotors. Hawks may be a cheaper pad, but if you're replacing early front 930 rotors at $400 per rotor on a regular basis , the savings don't add up ![]() Regards, Andrew M

Hawk Blues just eat up rotors. I think that's one of Hawk's oldest compounds. The HT10 is more rotor friendly and what I've been running for years both with the stock brakes and the more recent 996TT brakes on my car. But for this season I'm going to try the Pagids, simply because I can run different compounds front to rear to control brake balance. Sure, the Pagids are more $$, but if I can fine tune the balance, and be friendlier on rotors, it's a worthwhile trade off.
And FWIW, I got my Pagids from Steve Weiner. Could I have gotten them for less $$ somewhere else? Frankly I didn't care, because with these pads comes Steve's sage advice, and I like giving my heard earned $$ to those who are enthusiasts and support us all here on this forum.

I got mine from Craig at www.RennStore.com -- The source for Pagid brake pads
We had a little shipping issue (I think UPS' fault), but he is very knowledgeable and helpful. |

I have been using the oranges for a long time and have found them very rotor friendly and fade resistant as long as you cool them properly. I tried Hawk blues on a friends recommendation as they were cheaper. They ate my rotors and were very dirty. I also felt they didnt have the initial bite the oranges give me. Ive been getting the pagids from Jason at Paragon for years. Always a good price. Ships quick w/o any issues. Used to ship them with a free bottle of ATE Blue. He has hooked me up with getting parts trackside ASAP in the past so he gets my business.
