Intake manifold spacers?
Between the carb intake manifolds and the heads on my engine there appear to be spacers fitted. They're about 5mm thick and there are no gaskets between said spacers and the heads. I don't remember seeing these on previous cars. Are they fitted to all 911 carbed engines and if so should there be a gasket between them and the heads or them and the intake manifolds?
Thanks in advance Adam

Yes gaskets between them and the carbs also.

The spacers keep heat from transferring to the carbs. Yes, carb'd engines have these. The gaskets are rather thin and should be installed with some sealer.
