Yea, I saw that Covin site some time ago. I could not understand exactly what it is. Are they building the entire bodyshell of the 911 in fiberglass? Is this really cheaper than buying a regular Carrera? Anyone know anything about this Covin replicar?

It seems absurd - yet somehow I am drawn to it.

Ok, now I have to go cry for the poor white 911. Not only is it bastardized with a Chebby engine, but the engine is in the front...boohoo. With it being in the back, I can sort of stand it, but to chop up the car that bad...

I'm not so sure that any Porsche was butchered here. In fact, it looks as though the whole body is fiberglass and it's attached to a custom welded chassis. I'm with Orbmedia....I want one for some reason.

Ooooooh, BABY!

Who's gonna be the first to get a 70bhp 959 ?

Excuse me while I go have a wretched retch in a dark closet.

This is really the original dream of Butzi Porsche, the all fiberglass tube frame 911 with front engine V8 power. But he was hypnotized and beaten to submission by the patriarch Ferry and forced to take the 911 a different route.

I have no plans to spend my money or time to live Butzi or Ferry or any other Porsche family members dream. They make plenty as it is.
The V8 cars I can understand, but 2000cc and less?
