New member, new car

Hello All,

I wanted to introduce myself and my new sc. I have been a BMW fan for years but am coming over to the dark side. I just bought an 83 911sc here in Denver after looking for a couple of months. It needs a few things but all very workable. I am like a kid going out to the garage every hour just to look at the car and start it up.

Thanks
Matt Langbauer

Nice car!
There is also the Porsche Breakfast Club in Denver. Meets once a month at I-25 and Colorado Blvd and has been having good monthly driving events as well.
Need a yahoo account to get in and started...

Welcome to the Porsche community

Craig

Matt,

The informal Porsche Breakfast Club (no dues) will meet at the Village Inn on the NE corner of Colorado and Mexico, in the parking lot:

This Saturday 8-10 or so (2nd Saturday of every month).

Come on by. Let us see that car.

We do a lot of other events, for instance, we're going to the McLaren museum Saturday the 17th of April. We do drives to places like Breckenridge and the Stanley Hotel...

Erik B can get you set up with the site on Saturday.

Matt,
Welcome to the Forum
You will find a lot of help here.

Great 911SC.
Take good care.

I’ll encourage you to join RMR-PCA.
No matter what you like, there is something there for you.
Attend the events.
You do not have to be a member.

There are the two ‘no-membership’ groups (above) that have breakfast and talk Porsche.

Here are links to three great Colorado membership clubs.
Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing » Events
Rocky Mountain Region Porsche Club
Colorado Region SCCA
All of the events are open to everyone and free to watch.
Membership clubs are run by us.
We get to make the club what we want.
These three clubs and two others OWN the High Plains Raceway east of Byers, CO.
High Plains Raceway | Your Colorado Performance Driving and Racing Future
It is our track (including the ground) so we will have a club-event track forever.

See you Saturday morning.

Best,
Grady

Hi Everyone, sorry I couldn't make breakfast last Saturday. I have been searching the forums for the event(s) this weekend. I know about event at noon on Saturday, but thought there was something early Saturday morning. Sorry if I am missing something.

Thanks
Matt

Welcome, from another Denver 911 driver (1982 SC Targa). That thing about going out to look at the car -- I still do it after 1.5 years of ownership. I realize I'm a bit late in welcoming you, but I will try to make it to the PBC this coming Saturday (June 12). Hope to see you there.

Welcome to the BEST resource you will ever find for anything Porsche related. The wealth of knowledge is unbelievable here. I bought my car in rough, rough shape 7 years ago and I still get home from work late at nite and just stand in the garage and look at it. It never gets old. Enjoy.

You made the right move over to the 911. I'm jealous that you can take it to the mountains! Your 911 looks nice. Congrats.
