3.0 SC engine into a 1969 911

Any on here know if a 3.0 engine from an SC will be a straight swap into a 2.0 1969 911?

I have someone interested in my engine, but he wants to know if he can just drop the engine into the car or if anything else has to be changed or altered as well...

Thank you

Straight swap..thats vague
you need a special flywheel, oil tank, cooler lines, interface to the chassis as its only 1 year engine compartment wiring. Its doable but not a walk in the park.

That's exactly what's in the 69 project I'm busy with. Don't forget the gauges will also need a swop.

The transmissions are different, so that would need all the hardware to mate them. That would not be a straight swap. But 3.0's into early cars have been done on this board before. Also depends on T vs E/S engine with respect to carburetor vs MFI. (I think my E MFI is cool.) Putting the MFI onto a 3.0 was documented earlier by Jeff Higgins, but was very complicated I recall. If you keep the CIS fuel injection on the 3.0 I believe you need to bring over the electronics located under the front passenger seat. The exhaust on a 2.0 is thin flanged and the SC 3.0 has a thick flange. That would be a fast car though.
