I'll be there as a pre-celebration of my 40th B-day. Bringing the new Cannon with hope of having an amazing day! See you guys there!

Had a great time. Hotter than hell! It was a blast hearing all the different exaust notes from the various modified cars there. Dave was looking fast in double zero! Working his way through traffic on the in field and dropping down from high on the banking to make passes!

We had a ball ! 3 ol club members working together to run a clean and fast race. Big thanks goes to Bob Taylor, who helped with mechanical duties.
We had a lot of fun playing catch up due to a tire valve problem: lost 2-3 laps right at the beginning of race getting that squared away. Our pit stops were less than ... uh... polished and F1 standard , but our on track was tons of fun. Several of the low speed turns got pretty greasy, and it was basic super low speed survival to get the car around them; just no front stick. So from a very distant 34th, we managed to claw our way up to 13th OA and 2nd in class. Not bad considering ... fwiw, jeff and i never raced at Fontucky before, so we are very happy and proud of our result. "Old age and Treachery will overcome Youth and Skill " ![]()

I enjoyed watching you Dave, I didn't come by and say hi b/c had the wife and 3m/o in tow. But, I got tons of video and pics of the 00 that I'll upload by the end of the week. Amazing sounds coming from the start/finish as the exhaust notes echo'd off the empty grandstands, think tunnel and you'll get an idea!
There were some sweet 911 cup cars there and the sounds as they entered hard bracking were heavenly! I've got video of 6+ 911's coming out of a turn in the infield and going 5 wide! That's a keeper fo sho! Next time I'm available for pit duties and I've had experience and can execute the pit stop in an organized manner so if you guys need my services please hit me up! I worked with michael Harley's Spec boxster @ Willows and we multiple spots!

Thanks ! Personally i had a great time chasing Rodolfo in the martini liveried '05 Cup car. He would leave me in the dust on the straights only to see me fill his mirrors in all the turns. We went back and forth for about 5-7 laps, before he had to pit for fuel. Had a few other dices here and there. Despite the hot interior/ exterior weather, i wanted to stay in for more laps.
appreciate the offer on the pit work- good help is fun to have with us. Being a driver and crew chief is not a good thing; you can only do one 100%

well... on the cool suit set up: its good for about an hour, then it pre heats you when the ice is all gone. So at each pit stop , if you are prepared
![]() The fan blower to the helmet is nice, no matter what Kudos go out to our 3rd driver, Neal Rouzier. He first drove this car on friday, and was our faster driver consistently on the final leg. AND he had to cope with the setting sun as well. We were very happy to have him on our team FWIW- the winning RSR recorded 135 degrees plus interior temps ! No small wonder the new RSR's come with air conditioning
