Rs/rsr oil cooler opening mesh source?

Can I obtain mesh to cover my front oil cooler opening from any of our vendors or can I get a piece from home depot etc...

You can get all types of Mesh from McMaster Carr (McMaster-Carr). Just enter the word MESH in the McMaster Web site search window and pick out what you deem appropriate.

we get the material at our local metal supply shops. Expanded mesh, lots of variations to choose from...

Cheers

+1 with Pegasus Racing. You don't have to purchase a 4x8' sheet as provided by metal supply houses. Available in stainless steel in different grid sizes (3). Stainless is substantially more rigid than expanded mild steel or aluminum - better to fend off errant rocks and other cooler-piercing materials.

At Hersey I saw a real neat concept on a early light blue 911 with a front bumper oil cooler. He used a section of a grill off the engine lid...matching grills! It looked real nice. Here is a photo.

I'm not near my car now. Will a 12x 18 sheet fit or do I need to go bigger?
Thanks,
Ben

on mine, the opening is around 20" wide, 5" tall, plus you need to bend over the top and sides, so I'd say minimum is 24" x 6"

+3 for Pegasus. Great folks to deal with (and great selection of good brake fluid too), plus I get my UPS from them in a day since they're only 100 miles away.

Though for my new TRE front nose I got the TRE screen which is nicely mounted on an aluminum frame, sized to fit the opening very nicely. Thanks Dave.

I did the same is this using the rear plastic grill. Make a template first. I epoxied a few 90 degree brackets to the bumper, which worked great.
