transmission mount spacers?

Can anyone confirm for me that the spacers (x2) go between the mount and the tranny, as opposed to between the mount and the nuts (x4)?

thanks

Adam

Spacers? You mean the mounts themselves? They are an inch or so thick, with a rubber insert, right?

You probably mean the slightly concave washers, right? If yes, you need four of them, and the curve of the washer should face the rubber doughnut in the mount, unless your mounts are still original, in which case the curve should face away from the mounts (both upper and lower).

The mount has a total of 6 fixing points. 2 (with rubber bushing) to attach the mount to the body, 4 to attach mount to tranny. I'm refering to the four that attach the mount to the tranny. When I got my engine and tranny the mount wasn't attached. On the four studs on the tranny were 4 nuts securing 2 spacers . Each spacer has 2 holes in it (or are these some sort of dual washer?). I was wondering in what order these spacers are fitted, (tranny, spacers, mount or tranny, mount, spacers/washers?

Ah, ha! Old stuff...I assume they are aluminum. Put one on the left side, and one on the right side (they will conform to the shape of the trans), and then install and fasten the steel mounting plate.
