New ride to the races....

Well now that the wife is all healed up from the surgery and the hospital stay, I am gonna try and hit a few more races this season...least ways on the west coast. The kids were too young to take with me and no babysitters....

Here's my new ride to the races wagon.....should handle two to three cars. Anyone in So Cal need a lift...? Willow, Streets, Thunder Hill, to name a few....I pick it up on Friday...

Perfect vehicle for the SCWDP race team.....maybe I can talk Jack O and the beauty to go with....?

Hey Mikey,
Can you pick me up on the way? What's a few thousand mile detour between friends?

Nice toy!

I am in the process of getting my auto dealer license. Some of you hang on the 914 list know that I have been involved in "finding" 914s for a long time.

It has gotten to the point where people are calling me to get them cars....so, I need a license to do so, a carrier to move the cars, and I also race....since the license allows me to go to the dealer auctions, there is a natural progression to a part time business that will help pay for my race habit.....

As to parking, I have a deal with a local business man and his storage yard....my boat and two other trailers are there as well....

Mike,

As a favor to a fellow SCWDP member, please feel free to park the rig in my RV drive...

Just finished with about HALF of the paperwork needed to start up a used auto dealer's business. Took the dealer class last week, got my Fictitious Name filing done, my PO Box, sent off my application for a seller's permit etc....all I need now is to take the test and have my office inspected. Fees will run around $2,000 to get started.

The name of my new company is "9 ELEVEN MOTORS" essentially to memorialize the NY incident, will also keep the P-Lawyers off my butt.......under that logo on the trailer, will be "NEVER FORGET" ......I will also reserve a LARGE space for the SCWDP logo as well.

A buddy of mine is associated with SSI and will have a space as well.....along with a prominent P-Logo......

The owner of the rig above has gotten a little squirrely and the deal is going sour, but I have another one on line.....same size and all, better price and newer. The puller for the one above is an "IVECO", a French/Fiat hybrid.....dunno, those two words in the same sentence scare me....only thing worse is to find out that Lucas was in on it as well.....

The new rig will probably be pulled by a Ford Turbo Diesel Power Stroke....cheaper insurance and can be used as a kiddie hauler as well.....

Stay tuned.

Hi Mike - great ideas! I'm definitely interested in hauls to Laguna & Thunderhill in 2002. Maybe I can broker/book the rig when you're not using it? I'll stay in touch
