Engine mount center bolt question

Time to change my engine and tranny mounts. I was going to try the engine mounts today but then hit a snag - after my fun time with my starter replacement, I decided not to tempt fate any longer. I tried to spray some PB blaster around the bolts and then hit them with a small impact wrench. They will not budge. I then put a small breaker bar and notice the defelection, so was careful not to "gorilla" things. I guess my question is this - how are you guys (that have done this) getting p-oil into the bottom of the engine mount where that bolt threads into. Are you using some sort of flex tubing to reach it?

Do you have a nut on the bottom side? Some do, some don't is why I ask.

I sprayed the penetrant towrds the underside of the bolt head. Use a spray straw to get it as close as possible. It SHOULD weep down the bolt into the threads.

Mine loosened without any problems but the car was kept dry for many years before my purchase son there was little or no corrosion to be seen.

mine are threaded into the cross member tube itself. Guess I will let it set for a while and keep it soaking.

Try whatever trick you can as the risk is high on twisting the crossmember or breaking the weld. I would try an impact wrench before reaching for the breaker bar. Ken
