Turbo Fuel Delivery Question

Guys,

Please help. Yesterday I received the fuel line needed for completion of fuel delivery on my 3.3 . Today I installed the line and did a test prior to running the motor. I turned the ignition to position 2 so the fuel pumps would push. After about 5 seconds of pumping, a pin sized hole popped in the line form the rear fuel pump. No problem, the line was old and aged near the crimp. I cut about 2 inches off the line and re-clamed the U-shaped metal line and re-fitted to the Accumulator. Second try, 5 more seconds and another popped line and pinhole leak. Something is either routed incorrectly or the line needs complete replacement. Here's how I did the plumbing, please let me know if the routing is correct:

-Fuel from tank to front fuel pump

-Front fuel pump delivers to rear fuel pump

-Rear fuel pump delivers(via rubber line) to bottom of accumulator

-Top Middle Accumulator delivers to bottom of Fuel Filter

-Top of Fuel Filter delivers to CIS via hard steel line to front center of the Fuel Distributor

-Top outside Fuel Accumulator routes to rubber fuel return line from CIS

Am I missing something or just incorrect on the routing. Please shed some light. Thank you.

rear pump to top, outer fitting on accumulator. top center fitting on accumulator to bottom of filter. return line from fuel distributor tees off. one goes to return hose to tank, the other to bottom of accumulator. does your accumulator have 2 fittings on top and one on the bottom? bosch # 0438170031.

Rich -

What lines and pumps did you use for your swap?
I'm asking because I have not done this part yet. Some say go with two pumps, some say use one big pump.
What about fuel line size? Is the stock line ID big enough?

Rarly,

I used a factory Turbo rear pump with an SC front pump. The lines I used were factory Turbo lines which I got with the motor. Those pumps push a tremendous amount of pressure. The fuel lines on the accumulator were installed incorrectly. The pumps pushed enough pressure to blow holes on the factory turbo lines. I'd go with two to keep up with the consumption. Theres a guy on Rennlist(Carmen Chainasi) selling the turbo front for $65. Good deal. Let me know how the project progresses.

John is right on the routing, and I went with the factory dual pumps also., except the C2T rear pump mounts inside the engine compartment on the front right side.
