Inside door handle broken today
Just went to open the door, driver's side, and something broke inside the door when I pulled the handle. Looks as if there's still some mechanism attached to the inner side of the door handle so something came apart inside.
I have not take off the top cap from the door panel yet and dunno what I could see if I did. Thought I'd run it past you guys first to see how to proceed. Likely a pin that attaches to a rod or some such... ![]() Thanks in advance...

Youre right, something broke.
![]() Regardless of what it is you're gonna have to take the inside door panel off to first, find out what broke second, to fix it. It's not a big deal. I always find it helpful to have a digital camera or my phone with me to take pics so I put things back where they came from.

Door
Here's what it'll look like, or similar, when you get in there. This is a passenger door so reverse your thinking.
![]() ![]() Good luck, I hope it isn't serious.

It is probably those plastic pieces that hold that little rod that goes into the door handle, not a big deal. I don't think there is any more plastic in the mecanism.
