Switching Seat Backs..87 Targa
My drivers seat is starting to show wear...passenger seat near perfect...
Is it possible to switch the seatbacks for one side to another? Any diagrams or instructions? |

The power seat backs are identical in my '87 coupe so I switched them after refinishing them with colorplus leather paint because the piping and leather was in better condition on the passenger seat.
They are the origonal sport seats and they're made by Recaro for Porsche and there is tilt forward lever on each side of the back so there is no difference between them. |

It's easier to just swap the entire seat from one side to the other. That way you get to use the passenger seat bottom as well, which probably has a better cushion. I did this in my car and it was great. The only thing is the electric controls will be on the inside instead of the outside of the seats.
