Rear Window "Glazier Points" ?

The rear window of my '71 coupe has 6 of these little bastards; 3 per side

Notice how the glass panel has "cutouts" for each position. My guess is that they preload the panel in the body recess. However, only side to side.

If anyone knows about these, I'm curious.

Those are the electrical connector lugs for the rear window defroster.

I don't remember anything like that on my 71 when I had the rear window out.
Kinda hard to tell from your pictures exactly where they are on the window channel.

Yes, those are the ground connections.

+1 on the wiring connectors for the rear defrost.
and what a PITA it is to get the seal over the wires that connect to them.
i spent the whole day between that and fitting the aluminum trim pieces
