AC repair help
So it is getting pretty hot around here, and the ac on my 1995 911 is weak at best. I have recharged it twice, up to about 35 psi. Even immediately after recharging it does not cool very well. After a few days (a week?) the pressure drops to 25 psi, or less. Any advice on how to proceed to find a leak, which hopefully may be somewhere that I could actually repair without extraordinary effort? I have a vacuum pump and AC guage manifold.
thanks.

you may need to put a dye in the system and then use a black light to locate it. One thing you should replace is the drier tank.

you can look for the wet spot. usually dirt will collect where the leak is if it is bad enough. another thing to do is use a sniffer. if the evap or expansion valve is leaking, sniffing the vents will let you know. found a bad evap in my brothers 930, goona check his volvo today.
