2001 Turbo seats in a pre-74 car?

Anyone have any idea if these could be made to fit?

Also, has anyone sat in these seats? Opinions?

They've gotta be extremely expensive, after all they are "turbo" seats.

those are some of the best seats that Porsche have produced...more subtle then the GT3 seats...

are you looking at LA Porsche Dismantlers?
They seem to have a few of the 2001 turbo seats....

Not those, though. I think (and I could be wrong) that those are the "Sport" seats, whereas I'm looking at the 'crested' non-sport seats. Honestly, I'm leaning against it. With the weight and lack of harness holes, I think I'd end up swapping in a race seat for track days, which is kind of a pain in the neck.

Electrically-controlled seats just rub me the wrong way, although the drive up to Cambria would be nicer in these. If someone were telling me that the ordinary 996 seats offered as much lateral support as earlier sport seats, I might bite. But I don't think that's the case.

It's Gemballa selling them, not LA Porsche Dismantlers. I think I could get them down to close to $500/seat, which seems pretty reasonable for modern leather seats. But still... not very "R Gruppe."

Don't know if they would work, but my vote is for your Corbeaus.

The regular water-pumper seats don't have nearly enough support for aggressive driving IMHO. In fact I have ridden at-speed in 996 "sport seats" and I was falling all over the place. I actually commented to the owner/driver of the car that "you should have sprung for the sport seats"...he said "those ARE the sport seats". DOH!

The GT3 seats have the support & strength I would want, but they cost a mint and the upper headrest area is really funny looking to me.
