Re-key factory alarm to Ignition Key 84 Targa

Hi all,
Did a search on this and found useful information.
In the 1984 factory alarm on the door, it was a different key than the ignition key. (Note in earlier 911 models I believe the alarm tumbler could be re-keyed to the ignition key.) In the 1984 taking out the tumbler of the alarm, the tumbler itself has metal raised 'dots' that ride in the side ridges of the key, providing for a snug and proper fit. The ignition key has ridges placed differently than these raised 'dots' such that the ignition key can not be used nor the tumbler re-keyed to the ignition key.
So here's the question, has anyone been able to re-key the tumbler to accept the ignition key on these later models or does anyone know of a place that can do this kind of custom work.... I would imagine that it could be done by filing down the raised dots and then soldering in new dots in the required location....
And yes, I know I'm obsessing about carrying one versus two keys....
Thanks in advance for any help....
CRS

I asked my lock guy about this... He's made Porsche keys for me and has 40 years in the business. He told me, "the alarm lock is not serviceable". I would take it from that, that also means messing or altering the keys would not work.

Ditto to what Mitch said. When I got mine in 2003 there was no alarm key and my locksmith (who can do anything with anything) said that there's no way to work with it so I bought a new tumbler with 2 keys from Porsche.
