Possible to rechrome H4 reflectors?

Im looking at a set of H4's and noticed some bubbling near the bottom edge of the reflectors. Can they be rechrommed?

The factory finish was not chrome that said you can chrome you will just loose some efficiency which came be overcome by using higher rated bulb.

If you find a good place to re-do the covering/plating on these please let us know. I have some H-1 parts that could use it.

You can often find new reflectors on eBay. I did research finding someone who could replate them but in the end the ebay ones were there and cheaper.

For mine I ended up using a reflective paint which works really well. It is not as shiny as the original but with the headlight beam is much better than before. The light is whiter and is actually brighter - the look is much more like a newer car's lights.

You might need to check local laws on whether you can do this type of finish or not. I remember reading something about this when I was looking into refurbing mine.

I read a post here on Pelican about a company in Merlin, Oregon (near Grants Pass, OR) who refinishes H1 and H4 reflectors - with very good results.

I cannot find either the post or the business listing which is driving me nuts as I'm only a 35 minute drive from Merlin and I've definately got one bad reflector on my car.

If anyone recalls that post or is more crafty with the search engine and can find it, I (as well as the original poster) would greatly appreciate it.
