14" tires for 76 911s

my fronts are worn out, i currently have Pirelli 205/70 14 inch tires. I don't have the original 15 inch wheels unfortunately. what tire do you recommend for performance summer driving? I cant seem to find any good options still available.

Michael, I would recommend that you consider getting 15's or 16's for your 76S. There will be more and better tire choices for you if you do. I'm sure there's a market for your 14'' wheels.

+1 on up sizing, 16's are reasonable and easy to have finished to look like the early alloy. 16x6" for sure will fit and with the mention of 76, you may well be able to fit the stock SC set-up, 6 in front 7's in the rear.
There is a market for the 14's may take a while to find the right person (and here many say they are worth nothing)

The 16's will give you a much better selection of tires for years to come, the 205-70's have gone to the wayside.

I have 16x6 all around on both a 66 912 coupe and a 71 911 Targa (had 14"s) with 205-55 16 happy with them, wish I could have fit 7's with the 225-50 on the rear (this was the stock SC rear) some are running the 205-55's on both the 6 & 7" wheels, made no sense to me, If I am going to get no more tire on the road I will go with 4 of the same & a spare, easy to rotate.
A couple pics attached, not really a fan of the black, but will work till I send them to Al Reed to finish like the set he did on the 66.

There are a couple sets of the 16' on the parts board now, and you may be about even on thr $$ when you sell the 14's the 15's are right now a touch more $$.

Good luck

Definately depends on condition, pics required and the search function in the parts for sale section will help you. There is a guy right now looking for 14's.
Drop me a pm with your email and I can share what I think about 14's and what I got for mine.

Regards
