Wheel arch vs colour?
I am considering a set of wheel arch alum trim for my 911 that is Signal Yellow.
It was suggested different colours were more suitable for this trim. Dark colours seem to look a bit more stunning. Anyone have photos of cars with these installed to compare the look? Thanks for the pics if you post.

"Pimping" a Porsche other than a 928 or maybe the new Panamera simply does not work.

I think that works just fine.
Any other colours out there.

I've certainly not seen every 911 made but I have never seen other than polished aluminum for wheel arch trim--doesn't mean someone hasn't done a custom job though.

I guess I should have said I am considering alum wheel arches for my "car" which is Signal Yellow.
The wheel arches are indeed alum colour polished of course.

Quote:
--my first thought was a colored trim. I have the trim on my light ivory 73.5 (very subtle) as well as on my former black 75S. It definitely stands out on darker colors and I think it would do so on your signal yellow. Good luck on finding a decent set--they are out there but usually not cheap.

I know where to get a good set (I hope) but don't want to buy and not use them.
I think on the Signal Yellow car they will look good since I have the "S" trim on the car already. I would like to see a Signal Yellow, or Bahama Yellow car with them on if anyone could post a pic.

rivets. actually, the factory ones were anodized. a lot got polished later as that's about the only way to fix scratches without re-anodizing. I have noticed that they look much better on cars when the tire fills the opening fully. if the tire is to far in the trim makes it look more-so. |
