84 911 No Spark, No Start. Help Please!

Hey all!

I have been trying to figure out my no start issue for a bit over a month now. I can't seem to track down the problem... She ran like a dream that last time I drove her, but after parking it for about 2 week, I can't get her started.

I Did search the forum, and currently have Litterally 13 tabs open with posted suggestions. (This is the 14th Pelican tab) Very useful information, but I have not been able to pinpoint my problem...

I am not getting spark out of the Coil... Here is what I have tested/tried so far...

1. Tested the Speed & Reference sensors. Wasn't 100% sure on the readings so I replaced them just to be sure. Also checked the gap, and seems to be correct. Everyting reads normal.

2. Tested the coil, cap & rotor to be sure that everything is good there.

3. Checked all my fuses, relays, & grounds to be sure everything is functioning properly.

4. Pulled the connector from my DME and tested every connection there per the bently manual. Everything reads fine.

5. Pulled and opened my DME to look for bad solders, everything looked good there.

6. Replaced my DME Relay out of desperation...? Notta.

My car does not have any type of alarm on it, so that is ruled out...

Is there any way for me to test the DME myself to see if that could have failed? I found someone here on Pelican that can rebuild them, but I am closing on a house on Tuesday and would prefer to keep the $450.00 if at all possible.

Any suggestions of what to test or something I may have missed would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I had a no spark condition on my 3.2. Tested everything I could from the book but found no bad readings, opened it up to look for bad solder joints etc.
I finaly found someone willing to let me put my DME in their car to cofirm it was the problem. They wouldn't let me put their DME in my car, understandably. Unfortunately it was bad and I had it rebuilt. Runs great now.
Ask around, maybe you can get lucky and find someone in your area to let you do the swap.
