Question Ok....lets pretend.....

If I were to want to search online for a Carrera in a certain distance radius...whats the best way to do it?

Autotrader.com lets you go up to 200 miles within your zip code but there is nothing within 200 miles of Mtn. Home, ID. The only other option is to click on the "Any distance" option which brings in every car from here to Callamazoo. I would like to narrow down my search area down to like a region....like the north west. Or Salt Lake...Ideas???

Where is the nearest large city? Find out the area codes in the nearest large city and then enter them into autotrader.com

Hey, I could find you a car!! Since I have one, I'm always trying to buy some one else one.

I do have many sites for 911s in my favorites, but they tend to be nationwide also.

Are you on the board now? (+/-) 10:00 pm EST
Check out the V8 post below. It's still freaking alive!!!!

Lee,
Try this site. It searches several classified databases. Hope it helps.

Now, wouldn't a second 911 dilute the thrill of getting the first one back up and running?

Leland, whatever you do, don't talk to Tyson about this. The young-buck-with-too-many-911s syndrome is going to hit Noah, before too long, and I'll never be able to get a parking space.

Hey jack, great to hear from you.

Well this was all sort of a down the road thing. If I were to buy another car right now I'd totally put off getting my SC up and running...admit it...you all would too...I was thinking more less after I got my car back together...The truck is no fun.
I fall asleep driving it.
Would it not be cool to walk out of the house in the morning and have to decide "WHICH" Porsche you wanted to drive to work today???

Jack, first off, congrats.

How was the wedding, and why aren't you and the new Mrs Olsen off honeymoonin?

You should at least be looking for a early 911 for her.

Tom,

I'm on the honeymoon, still, finally at a hotel with an ethernet connection instead of relying on America Online. In fact, while she gets a massage or something, I'm out here on the balcony, wondering why anyone lives anywhere other than here.

The wedding was great. Thanks. Here's a pair of pictures of me and the bride. It misted in the Hawaiian mountains, making for what should be some nice pictures.

So this isn't too far off topic, we saw a Boxster today while waiting for a ride in a submarine.

Try www.autobytel.com Or search for dealers, they often have web sites with their inventory.

This is the first I've heard of the 200 mile limit. It always gives me the opportunity to search "any price", and "any distance". I agree with the earlier posting, just select another zip code and you'll get the same results. I know 77077 works.

OK Jack, I'm a little confused here. You live in Southern California. You are honeymooning in Hawaii. And you DON'T HAVE A TAN!!!!!!!! WTF???? You're an android, aren't you? I knew you were too perfect. BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WooHoo!!Lucky you!!!

Leland, don't listen to him. Every man should own 2 911s. Notice I said "Man"? Boys can only have one.

98661 will give you the Portland, OR area.
98116 will give you Seattle.....the land of Microsoft and over priced Porsches.

Whatever you do....DO NOT GO TO CALIFORNIA CARS.COM. They suck. They are located south of Ventura CA and north of LA.

They advertise a lot and have crap for sale.

As to cars. geez, hop a flight to CA, rent a car and look at 20-30 that are advertised in www.recycler.com and drive home.

Really a no brainer dude....

BTW....Jack looks like a young Michael J. Fox. Congrats on the wedding.

Beware, she might let you keep the Porsche, but you may get these after a while. The best present I ever had.

Hey Jack, where are you at? Still in Hawaii? Which island are you on? I'm on Oahu... Congrats! Need a tour guide...?

Sorry Leland...no tips for ya, though I beat you to it...just bought a relatively *cheap* '74 911 targa.
