Recommend a rebuilt 915 tranny supplier

Need recommendations for a source for a rebuilt 915 tranny to swap out of my '83 911SC, don't have time to fix it myself or I would. If it makes a difference I'm in the western Chicago 'burbs. Thanks, Lance | ||

For some reason this has come up the last couple of times we've had a 915 thread. Gary hasn't gone anywhere. His ads continue to appear in Pano every single month and he's still offering great service and an excellent price on rebuilding services.

From all the posts I have read, re-building a tranny is not a back art so to speak. Are you looking for one to swap or looking to have yours rebuilt? Since you live in IL I would recommend Larry Marzano. He is working on my 72 right now, actually he just finished it, and the guy is meticulous like you would not believe. Super fare, tells it like it is and is great to work with. He works out of his huge garage, but also does lots of work for company in Wi (Porsche, Larry | Precision Porsche Service | 2-Shores Classic Cars - (+49 5691-912460). If you want his number, pm me and I will tell him you will call or email him.
