Issue with Rear SRP sway bar
I just received the front and rear Smart Racing Products sway bars. I check for how to install the rear sway bar but I found a problem. My stock sway bar (991S '76) attaches to a ball pin on the trailing arm, but the drop link on the SRP sway bar does not seem to have an attachment for a ball pin. Am I missing something, or I got the wrong bar from SRP?
Thanks

You've got the right bar. You should sit down and read the install instructions. The Smart Racing rear bar attaches to the spring plate. To gain clearance, I had to grind off the ball mount from my trailing arms (my car is a 1974, similar setup to your 1976).
Be prepared, the install of these bars takes a lot of patience. The hard part is getting the mounts on both sides lined up perfectly so that the bar moves without resistance. |

lining up the mounts is not difficult. Get one end of the bar into the mount with the other end hanging out into space. move it around while spinning it back & forth until it spins easily. Now look through the bar (they're happily hollow) - the mount on the other side should be centered in your field of view. If it isn't, use the bar to bend the mount until it is. Repeat on other side.
The stock mounts will have a fairly limited lifespan with the SRP bars, btw.

I suppose it depends on how accurately you drill the holes in the front (or I'm just really bad at this). It took me several hours to get the front bar in the mounts and spinning freely. The rear is way easier.
