Irish greeners- anyone been following this?
Just thought I would post a link to this thread on early s reg. Freddie is bringing another one back and in line22 glasurit single stage- IRISH GREEN! I guess I'm a little biased since it's my cars original color! Oh well back to that home remodel!

I'm subscribed to that thread. Makes me wanna save my nickels and dimes and send my car his way someday.
The PO had my car repainted back in the mid-90s with a single-stage DuPont Centari Spectramaster Green. It's a 10-footer and the shade is close enough to many other Irish Green cars I've seen, but a look under the decklid and you'll see it's not right. It irritates me if I let it but it's good enough for a driver and there other things to attend to that take priority. Still, if I could just hit the Powerball or be named in some long-lost relative's will...

+1 on many counts. I keep buying those powerball tickets too! No luck yet, though... Man!, Freddie makes that hood look like irish green glass! My '71 is covered with some horrendous looking white laquer I believe and unfortunately a good bit of surface rust. I know what you mean about priorities, crater64. Well hopefully I can finish these other projects that are taking priority over my poor wreched T. For now Freddie's Porsche porn will have to do! I was just in the garage and pulled back a little of the tattered headliner and lo and behold dead on Irish green, the original stuff.

Some elbow grease and a random orbital buffer have helped me bring it back a bit recently, but still...

Believe me I understand the pursuit of perfection but looking at mine... I think I could live with that, Crater64.

I think you can see I was a wee bit inspired by it as well.

Frankly, if my car looked as good as that Green 911, it would be in my garage right now instead of the paint shop. But, when I get it back, I hope it looks like "new"....
