Transaxle mount same for 901 and 915?

I know the part number is different but I was just told they are the same. I would like a second opinion

The paint shop lost mine ;( so I need to buy one for a 901 and all I have found (reasonably priced) is for 915.

Thanks in advance for your help!

They are very different. The only similarity is they both bolt into the chassis the same place. The attachment to the transmission is different.

The common 901 transmission mount has the rubber molded in the mount.

There is a ‘901’ mount used for 912s that has two rubber ‘cubes’ as flex material. These are generally unsuitable for a 911 (and 912).

Best,
Grady

Yes, but if I remember correctly (and I may not be...) the later 912 transmission mount, such as the one used for the '69 912s, was different - beefier - than the item for the earlier cars. That might be suitable for a 911. If you can find one. And if I am indeed remembering this correctly....

The pre 915 looks like the turbo trans mount.
